The Oticon CROS/BiCROS system is designed for people with unaidable hearing loss in one ear. The CROS transmitter, worn on the poorer ear, captures surrounding sounds and wirelessly sends them to a compatible Oticon hearing aid worn on the better ear.

When the better ear has normal hearing, the system is configured as CROS. If the better ear also has hearing loss and requires amplification, it is configured as BiCROS. This solution helps users hear conversations and environmental sounds coming from the poorer-ear side, improving awareness and communication in everyday situations.
